On account of Udbhav '09 , we are not able to screen this saturday. So the IV screening will take place on 04/04/09 i.e 4th of April. The timings of the screening and the venue will be announced later.

III Movie Screening Details

We will be screening the III movie on 14th of March i.e on Saturday. The venue for this screening is Engineering Sciences Block's Seminar Hall-II .The time of screening is around 11.30 AM .Please do carry your ID cards with you.

We will be screening the II movie on 7th of March i.e on Saturday. The venue for this screening is Engineering Sciences Block's Seminar Hall-II .The time of screening is 11 AM .Please do carry your ID cards with you.

Silence of the lambs ...Movie Review

Not too many movie characters have inspired in us a terror that Dr.
Hannibal Lecter, brilliant psychiatrist portrayed brilliantly by Sir
Anthony Hopkins actually did when we saw 'The Silence of the
Lambs'. Silence of the Lambs is based on the book by the same name by
Richard Harris. The introduction of Hannibal Lecter in the movie is a
testament to Jonathan Demme's skills as a director. Jodi Foster as
Clarice Starling, a FBI trainee who is sent to Dr Lecter to seek
advice on how to catch a serial killer known as Buffalo Bill, plays
her part to perfection.

We felt that the showdown between Clarice Starling and Buffalo Bill
could have been made more believable. Apart from this minor flaw, this
movie deserves every acclaim it has received and has won the Oscar for
Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best
Actress.

Dr Hannibal Lecter is one character that will not go out your head for
a long time and this is certainly a movie which is a must watch.

Short Movie Contest

MSRIT Movie Club is planning to organize a Short Movie Contest for the students of MSRIT. Participants are expected to follow the below instructions :

Theme for the short movie : CELEBRATING MSRIT

Duration of the short movie : Not more than 5 minutes

Format for submission of the short movie : Digital (.avi, .mov, .mp4, .mpg)

Last Date for submission of the short movie : March 16 ,2009

Participants are requested to submit their script before shooting the short movie to Mr.P.M.Krishnaraj , Department of ISE . If the participants wish to shoot the movie in the college premises ,they must get the permission for the same by Mr.P.M.Krishnaraj.
